The Northern Virginia Performing Arts Conservatory is an audition only premier pre-professional training program accepting only 24 students designed for serious young artists who are ready to take their craft to the next level. Founded by nationally recognized theatre educator and Tony Honorable Mention recipient Anthony Cimino-Johnson, the Conservatory provides a transformative experience for students ages 15–19 seeking intensive, college-level instruction in acting, voice, movement, and performance.

The Conservatory serves as a bridge between high school and higher education or the professional world, preparing students for competitive college auditions, conservatory programs, and careers in the performing arts. With small class sizes, individualized mentorship, and a curriculum grounded in industry best practices, students receive focused training in character development, vocal technique, audition preparation, choreography, and ensemble collaboration.

The program is taught by a faculty of seasoned professionals and guest artists with real-world experience on Broadway, in film and television, and in regional theatre. Our training emphasizes not just technical skill, but also emotional truth, personal discipline, and creative exploration.

Each season culminates in a fully produced mainstage production that allows students to apply their skills in a professional setting. Students also participate in masterclasses, college audition prep workshops, portfolio development, and industry networking events.
