Both casts rehearse one evening a week from February through May — each with a mandatory Tech Week the week of its performances.
Our Kids cast (ages 5–9) rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 5:15 to 6:45 PM, and our Junior cast (ages 9–12) rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 6:15 to 7:45 PM — both running February through May, picking up right where the Frozen season leaves off.
The full company is called to every tech rehearsal the week of its performances — for tech, sitzprobe, and dress runs leading into opening night. Attendance at all dates below is required.
Each cast mounts its own full production of The Little Mermaid Jr. with a separate ensemble, so every performer gets a meaningful role and real stage time. Principals (Ariel, Prince Eric, Ursula, King Triton, Sebastian, Flounder, Scuttle, Flotsam & Jetsam) may have occasional additional calls for music or scene work. The director publishes weekly call sheets so families can plan ahead.
Is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.

“Up where they walk, up where they run…”
Journey “under the sea” with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above.
But first, she’ll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the cunning sea witch Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she’s the girl whose enchanting voice he’s been searching for. With the help of Sebastian, Flounder, and Scuttle, Ariel discovers the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.
Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories and the classic animated film, the score features the Academy Award-winning music of Alan Menken with lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater — including “Part of Your World,” “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl,” and “Poor Unfortunate Souls.”
This 60-minute Junior Edition has been carefully adapted for young performers, written to flow seamlessly between land and sea — showcasing the range and energy of both our Kids (ages 5–9) and Junior (ages 9–12) casts.
A dazzling family musical — suitable for all ages.
The Little Mermaid Jr. is a joyful, song-filled family musical that audiences of every age can enjoy together. The story’s villain, Ursula, brings a touch of playful menace, and younger viewers may find her scenes mildly intense — but the show ends with the bright, hopeful resolution families know and love.
